  1. I don't know about you, but i've never won a game through the space race. It's
  2. just not my style.  In this game I played as the Celts,  I almost always do. I
  3. played on the largest earth map, with randomized resourses and posistions. I
  4. kept getting lots of advanced tribes and my civilization flourished from
  5. eastern russia to spain.

  7. I made a b-line for democracy, built the statue o' liberty, then changed to
  8. fundementalist.  I hoped that the great library would take care of my science
  9. and it did that buetifully as my enemies feared my power more they became
  10. closer allies giving countless advancements between themselves.  The fruits of
  11. which i also enjoyed.

  13. Just as the power graph peaked I began a 700 year war with the Zulus. Who were
  14. actually in Africa.  I was at a point in the game, namely with dragoons and
  15. musketeer, where the defender behind city walls has the advantage. So to even
  16. the playing field I continually built more cavalry with about 1/3 of my
  17. empire.  I also set several citys to permminatly create an equally large army
  18. of spies.

  20. Slowly but surely my industrial stregnth told the tale in Africa and around
  21. 1800 i finally finished of the Zulus, and their North America counterparts the
  22. Greeks, with another 30 years to capture south America and austrailia i
  23. conquered the world around 1840. At one point i had 200 cavalry in three
  24. continants.  Needless to say i spent all of this time in fundemenalist govt
  25.  
  26. So in effect i conquered the world by dividing then outnumbering my enemy.  I
  27. used their fortresses against them, i isolated citys throught their own
  28. fortresses and considered the loss of 1/4 of my attack force low.

  30. Not that this is the only way to win that kind of game.  I just wanted to try
  31. it. Like i said the peacefull way was never really my fav.  I am always in the
  32. mood for a good old fashion rumble.  Now i'm practically alone and the only
  33. ones who i want to kill are the damn advisors.
